Childminding
Watching the young grow and learn new skills is very rewarding. Current research shows that children develop more effectively when they are cared for by Childminders who are better qualified and engaged in their development.
Crêchendo offers qualifications and training specific to those who care for children in the home. This support helps build confidence as a Childminder as well as offering the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and competence.
Crêchendo offer two options for Childminders to meet OFSTED requirements:
Option 1: If you are new to setting up your Childminding business our bespoke 15 hour course covers the fundamental topics, including introducing and welcoming new families, planning for play and the business side of childminding. A certificate of attendance is issued upon completion of the course.
Option 2: Unit 5 of the CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce is a blended learning programme of 25 hours plus the assessment requirements of the new Level 3 Diploma. If you are new to setting up your Childminding business this option provides an opportunity to gain the induction required by OFSTED and your work will be credited should you wish to progress to the full Diploma at a later time.
